Distinctive Features
1. Three spuds are provided, on one either side and one at the stern of the
ship. The one at the stern is variable through an angle of ±20°fore and aft, which is very effective in
controlling the attitude of the hull while driving piles in diagonally.
2. Pump jets rotating through 360°are provided at the bow and stern, permitting speedy positioning
of the ship and pile driving under conditions of tidal flow as well.
3. Sliding leader (18m slide) allows the leader to be slid up to 75m above the surface of the sea to
faciliate operations under a variety of conditions. The bottom of the sliding leader reaches the sea surface
even during diagonal pile driving at +25°.
4. Electrically operated gondolas (loaded weight 200kg, capacity 3 persons) are provided on the left
and right sides of the sliding leader. The gondolas are always retained in a horizontal position irrespective
of the angle of the leader, greatly improving safety.
5. Storage is possible on the leader rest with the leader and catch-fork attached, thus conserving
energy and increasing safety.
6. The crane gantry is the folding type, so that the height of the vessel is no more than 20m above the
surface of the sea, thus contributing to safe towing.
7. The operational platform is positioned on top of a hydraulic lock pile keeper, safety being improved
by virtue of the fact that it is always kept horizontal with the aid of a hydraulic cylinder.
8. An automatic remote rebound measuring device eliminates human error and permits highly
accurate measurement of rebound (patents pending)
9. A next-generation construction control system with GPS and automatic tracking TS serves both
to conserve energy and increase accuracy, greatly improving performance.
10. By attaching a large-diameter fully rotating excavator to the leader it is possible to bore through
hard rock layers and handle all types of soil.
Surveying System Outline
This system has been developed with the aim of increasing the efficiency of steel tube pile-driving operations
by pile-driving vessels. The position of the pile-driving vessel is measured with the aid of RTK-GPS by a fixed GPS
station located at a reference point on land and two GPS’s located on board the vessel, thus allowing the position
and direction of the vessel to be pinpointed. The positions of the piles are determined by establishing the
positions of two points on the pile leader with the aid of automatic tracking TS located on board the vessel.
Reflecting mirrors are attached to the pile leader and hammer, making it possible to determine the
three-dimensional position of the pile leader and the height of the pile head. Data measured by each instrument is
relayed by a telephone or radio data relaying device to a control device(computer), and the position of the pile,
direction of slope, angle of slope and height of the pile head are calculated.

PUMP JET THRUSTER SYSTEM
Latest fitting allow work to be done speedily and accurately. Operating the steering-wheel causes a signal to be
sent from the electronic circuit to an electro-magnetic valve, a hydraulic motor is driven by the pressure of the
oil fed from the hydraulic pump, and the propulsion unit is driven by way of gears. The propulsion unit rotates and
tracks automatically to the rotational angle (thrust direction) indicated by the tracking transmitter located on
top.
