GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The yacht has been built by Cantiere Navale Diano in Riva Trigoso (GE) in the year 2001. The model is the Diano 24 and corresponds to the construction number 26 built by this shipyard.

The yacht is an ocean-going luxury motor yacht, classified by R.I.Na in the category A, Malta cross.
It is a wooden construction (hull and superstructure), and fitted with two diesel engines, connected to the gearboxes, and operating fixed pitch propellers.
The yacht will have three decks, from here called:

“B” deck: Lower deck.
“C” deck: Main deck.
“D” deck: Sun deck.

The net deck heights give a clear headroom from the top of the floor covering to the bottom of the over-head ceiling including in way of protruding fittings such as ceiling lighting, ventilation diffusers, etc.:

N. 2 Guest cabins (twin bed).
N. 1 VIP cabin (twin bed).

All the cabins and the owner’s suite are positioned in the “Lower Deck”. Each cabin its own bathroom.

N. 1 Crew's cabins with two beds.
N. 1 own bathroom.
Crew cabins are positioned in the lower deck behind the engine room.

Main Generators
Two diesel generators KHOLER delivering 20 kW each, one of these with an appropriate filter for the exhaust-gas.
General Equipment in Engine Room

Water Services
Two autoclaves are fitted here with different stainless steel tanks for all the water services giving water at a uniform pressure.
The desalination plant consists in a desalinator Selmar mod Pacific OC 220/CS with a capacity of 220 l/h with a consumption of 2,2 kW at 220 Vac.

Battery Charging Set
All the lights on board are connected with two Mastervolt voltage transformers that can be supplied by the two diesel generators or by the external electric line. Two Mastervolt batteries charging sets are connected to a switch for charging the batteries of the engines or of the services on board, alternatively or simultaneously.

Batteries Set
The batteries set are the following:
4 batteries for the engines;
2 batteries for the diesel generators;
12 batteries for all the services on board.

MACHINERY SPACE

The machinery space is easily accessible through an insulated door.
The machinery space is lined with acoustic/thermal insulation, which is to be protected against physical damage by aluminium sheets.
Adequate space is allowed for easy access to and for maintenance of machinery and electrical equipment in place and for removing items which require replacement.
Brackets and lifting beams have been fitted in appropriate positions to facilitate transfer of machinery components.
All machinery is resiliently mounted to reduce noise.
Engine room access and layout are in accordance with Classification requirements and marine practice.

VENTILATION

The machinery space is mechanically ventilated with two supply fans and two extractors, with control switches locally and in wheelhouse.
The air flow required for ventilation (engine air consumption and heat removal) is in accordance to ISO standard, taking into consideration the maximum outside temperature.
All ducting are adequately insulated and the fans have been resiliently mounted.
Each fan and extractor to the engine room has been fitted with a silencer and a fire damper.
Intakes are arranged to prevent the entry of rain or spray.

GENERATOR SPACE

The machinery space also accommodate the two generators located in a sound proof housing.
Floorplates, ladders and guardrails
Ladders, platforms and floorplates are provided as necessary for convenient access and operation of the various machinery and electrical items.
The main ladders have non-skid treads and polished handrails. Floorplates are readily removable for access to bilges, pipework and machinery.
Stainless steel tubular handrails for the protection of personnel are to be provided where necessary.
